This photograph captures the quiet drama of the salt lakes that stretch alongside the road into Esperance, Western Australia - a place where the landscape feels almost unreal. Flanked by open sky and uninterrupted horizons, these salt lakes transform with the light, shifting from soft pastels to striking whites and blues as the day unfolds.

Shot on the approach to Esperance, this scene is one many travellers pass through, yet few truly stop to absorb. The road cuts cleanly through the landscape, creating a natural symmetry that highlights the scale and stillness of the environment. From above, the salt lakes reveal subtle textures and organic patterns formed over thousands of years - a reminder of how raw and ancient this region truly is.

The minimal colour palette and expansive negative space make this image especially suited to modern interiors. It brings a sense of calm, openness and balance into a room, while still holding enough visual detail to invite a closer look. Whether styled in a coastal home, contemporary apartment or refined commercial space, this print adds depth without overwhelming the space.

Printed using museum-grade archival inks on premium fine art paper, this photograph is designed to last for generations. Each print is carefully produced to preserve the tonal range, fine detail and natural textures of the scene, ensuring the artwork feels as immersive on your wall as it did at the moment it was captured.

A quiet moment on the road to Esperance, distilled into a timeless piece of Australian landscape art.

Unframed Print

Tidal Tones unframed prints are non-reflective and are not glossy. They are commonly called a 'poster' or print.

All prints are Giclee professionally printed using Epson Archival ULTRACHROME HDR Inks consisting of 11 colours producing incredibly high-quality colour vibrancy and longevity.

Printed on museum-grade 'Ilford Galerie Prestige 310gsm smooth cotton rag' fine art paper which gives the best vibrancy and depth of colour for the Tidal Tones style of landscape photography and especially when placed behind an acrylic finish. This fine art paper also is imcredibly durable to light deterioration, giving the print the best possible longetivity.

We offer a diverse selection of standard A sizes.

All unframed prints are secured and shipped using safe mailing tubes.

Stretched Canvas

We use archival, museum-grade 'Ilford Galerie 'poly-cotton canvas, archival inks and an acid free stretcher bar with UV laminate protection spray for longetivity and scratch protection. The wooden frame depth is a premium 38mm stretcher bar to give substantial, gallery-style projection off the wall.

- All canvas is handmade

- We use a 'mirror wrap' on the edges which mirrors the corresponding edge so that none of the art is hidden on the sides

Box Framed Print

All our frames are made from sustainably sourced plantation timber in either a natural oak, white or matte black finish. They are 20mm wide and 40mm deep

We frame your print using 3mm gallery grade shatterproof acrylic glazing which is lighter, stronger and clearer than glass and engineered to offer the highest optical clarity. The frame is built with a solid 5mm foamboard backing and a metal hanger is installed on the back of the frame, ready to hang upon delivery.

Why purpose does a matboard serve? A matboard has two very important key functions:

Visual Separation: A matboard provides "breathing room" for the image, separating it from the frame and drawing the viewer's eye inward, adding depth and presence.

Archival Protection: A high-quality, acid-free matboard serves a crucial conservation purpose by preventing the print from coming into direct contact with the acrylic glazing, which is a best-practice for long-term preservation.

Instead of cropping away the beautiful image, we choose to shrink the chosen photo size to accommodate for the matboard but the 'poster size' will remain the same.

No Matboard: If you would like the photo to fill the entire poster area with no matboard.

Poster Meaning: A ‘poster’ is the internal frame dimensions e.g A4, A3, A2 etc
